OTTAWA — Shawnee collected its second boys golf tournament title in as many days with a first-place finish Wednesday at the Wildcat Invitational at Country Acres Golf Club.
On Tuesday, the Indians secured the Allen East/Colonial Golfers Club event.
John Barker led the way Wednesday for Shawnee with an 82 followed by Jake Hutchins (85), Justin Bernke (86) and Drew Bullock (87) for a team total of 340.
Bryan won a fifth score tiebreaker against Defiance for second place after each shot 342. Bath was fourth, finishing at 344. Tinora’s Dylan Von Deylen was the medalist with a 76.
Bath’s Isaiah Bolon (79), Celina’s Lance Mawer (89), Adam Gerker (87) of Delphos St. John’s, Elida’s Jared Ramirez (89), Kalida’s Christian Nartker (84), Fort Jennings’ Logan Schimmoeller (119), Lima Central Catholic’s Ross Otto (87), Ottawa-Glandorf’s Austin Radcliff (81), Ottoville’s Andy Schimmoeller (102), Paulding’s Cade McGarvey (86) and Van Wert’s Jared Hernandez (87) had the low scores for their respective schools.
WAYNESFIELD — Wapakoneta’s Logan Miller, Tanner Sweede, Drew Zwiebel and Dusty Haggard shared medalist honors by each shooting 76 as the Redskins secured the team championship at Prairie View Golf Club. The 304 total by Wapak, which won the Cardinal Invitational on Tuesday, was one stroke off the school record.
Minster won a fifth score tiebreaker against St. Marys for second after each finished with a team total of 344.
Minster’s Logan Lazier (85), St. Marys’ Jill Schmitmeyer (79), New Bremen’s Ezra Ferguson (87), New Knoxville’s Ray Newton (93) and Waynesfield-Goshen’s Jaden Maxwell (92) has the low rounds for their respective schools.
Medalist Karlee Staugler’s 94 led St. Henry to the team title. Allison Hemmelgarn (97), Ellen Naumann (97) and Claire Clune (107) also contributed to the Redskins’ winning score of 395. New Bremen was second with a total of 434.
New Bremen’s Sarah Parker (101), Coldwater’s Payton Kunk (105), Marion Local’s Marah Moeller (119), Celina’s Madelynn Sudoff (112) and Fort Recovery’s Kirsten Keller (110) had the low rounds for their respective teams.
LIMA — The Allen County Girls High School Championship will take place at Lost Creek Golfers Club beginning at 10 a.m. Friday.
Schools participating include Allen East, Bluffton, Delphos Jefferson, Lima Central Catholic, Delphos St. John’s and Shawnee.
