ARCHERY
Allen County: The Allen County Archers hold traditional 3-D shoots the third Saturday of the month all year long, weather permitting. They are open to all archery equipment. The Archers hold a “stump shoot” for traditional bows only the fourth Saturday of each month, weather permitting. Leipsic: An R100 national archery shoot is scheduled June 23, 24 and 25 at Leipsic Hunting and Fishing, 10605 Road H, Ottawa 45875. Registration is available online at R100.org and also is available on the days of the competition. According to the website, the cost for pre-registration for the R100 ranges are $60 for adults, $25 for youth and $15 for cubs. The day of the event the cost will be $70, $35 and $20. For the single R50 range, the pre-registration cost will be $45 for adults, $20 for youth and $15 for cubs. The day of the event cost will be $55, $30 and $20.
BASEBALL
Bath Township: The annual Bath Baseball “Best of the Northwest” Youth Tournament is scheduled from June 9 to 11. This is a school team tournament (all players must be from the same school district). BASKETBALL
Lima: The Xavier Simpson Basketball Camp is scheduled June 10 at the Lima Family YMCA, 345 S. Elizabeth Street, Lima, OH 45804. The camp is for boys and girls in grades kindergarten through freshman in high school. There will be a session for grades 7-9 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and a session for grades K-6 from 1-3:30 p.m. Cost of the camp is $80. Register at zaviersimpson.eventbrite.com. Lima: A fundraising tournament to offset the medical costs of Shawnee’s Jordan Banks and his family will be held starting at 10 a.m. June 10 at the Faurot Park sand volleyball court near the Red Cross. Cost per two-person team will be $40 with the tournament winners receiving $100. Registration closes June 5. DEMOLITION DERBY
Lima: The King of Ohio event will be held June 16 through 18 at the Allen County Fairgrounds. Activities start at 6 p.m. June 16, 1 p.m. June 17 and 11 a.m. June 18. Tickets are $35 per day. Weekend tickets are available for $75 online and $100 at the gate. Kids 5 and younger will be admitted for free and those ages 6 to 10 will get in for half price. Lima: The Allen County Horseshoe Pitchers, located at 1815 C St., have openings in leagues and doubles. Open doubles begins at 8:30 a.m. Saturdays. Cornhole leagues are forming. Lima: The Lima Half-Mile races are scheduled for June 24 at the Allen County Fairgrounds. Gates open at 2 p.m. for fans followed by practice at 3 p.m. and qualifying at 4:20 p.m. Opening ceremonies will be held at 6:40 p.m. with the first main event scheduled for 8:20 p.m. Tickets start at $30. RUNNING
Lima: Registration has begun for the Herb Jay 5K Run being held at 9 a.m. June 17 and starting and finishing at the Lima Family YMCA. Cost is $10 for Y members and $15 for nonmembers. Spencerville: The Spencerville Summerfest 5K Run is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, June 24, at Spencer Township Park. Register online by June 17 for $15 without buying a shirt and $25 with buying a shirt. After June 17, the cost will be $20 without buying a shirt.
