ONU ranked No. 10

ADA — The Ohio Northern women’s basketball team is ranked No. 10 in the Week 10 D3hoops.com Top 25 Poll.

This marks the Polar Bears’ highest ranking since entering the 2017-18 season at No. 7. The team has been ranked as high as No. 5, which was in the 2016-17 season.

The Polar Bears (19-2 overall, 13-1 OAC) received 354 points in the poll and rose three spots from last week’s poll in which they received 278 points and were ranked No. 13.

Christopher Newport (Va.) is the top-ranked team in this week’s poll, receiving 610 points and 11 of 25 first-place votes.

The D3hoops.com poll is voted on by a panel of 25 coaches, sports information directors and media members from across the country and is published weekly.

Northern is also ranked No. 11 in this week’s Women’s Basketball Coaches Association Top 25 Poll, which was released on Tuesday.

The Polar Bears received 130 points in the poll.

Northern received 103 points and was ranked No. 13 in last week’s poll.

Christopher Newport is the top-ranked team in the WBCA poll, receiving 250 points and all 10 first-place votes.

The WBCA NCAA Division III Coaches Poll Committee is composed of one head coach from each of the 10 NCAA Division III conferences.
