Allen East’s Savannah Brooks scored 17 points and Dylan Miller and Kennedy Truex each chipped in eight points. For LCC, Olivia Stolly scored 12 and Kiegh Macklin added five points.

Perry 44, Pandora-Gilboa 29

PANDORA — Perry’s Rhema Pernell scored 10 points and Lexena Lee added nine points. For Pandora-Gilboa, Ava Huffman scored seven points.

New Bremen 48, Lincolnview 35

NEW BREMEN — New Bremen’s Marina Nelson scored 18 points and Chloe Homan added 13. Allison Hays added 11 points. For Lincolnview, Makayla Jackson scored 16 points and Emerson Walker added 11 points.

Hardin Northern 52, Calvary Christian 50

DOLA — Hardin Northern’s Nolan Hopson and Zeb Wilson each scored 12 points and Zander Wilson chipped in 10 points.


COLUMBUS — A number of area players were honored on the Division VI and VII All-Ohio teams announced by the Ohio Prep Sportswriter Association Monday.

On Tuesday, the Division IV and V All-Ohio teams will be announced, followed by the Division II and III teams on Wednesday. The Division I All-Ohio team will be announced Thursday.

Marion Local’s Darren Meier was co-defensive player of the year in Division VI.

Allen East’s Jacob Hershberger was named to the Division VI first-team offense and Columbus Grove’s Tadd Koch made the first team on defense. Koch’s teammate AJ Schafer made the second team.

Columbus Grove’s Trent Barraza, Shep Halker and Dillon Bryan were an honorable mention selection along with Allen East’s Jack Hoel, Cade Wireman and Braylon Kennedy

On the Division VII offense, Upper Scioto Valley’s Alex Sanders garnered first team honors along with Pandora-Gilboa’s Aiden Morris and Elam Suter. Lima Central Catholic’s Jacob Lauk also secured first team honors.

Defensively, Upper Scioto Valley’s Kevin Smith and Delphos Jefferson’s Braylon Scalf both were tabbed as first team selections.

Waynesfield-Goshen’s Drew Breitigam and Dalton Jordan, along with Carson Parker,were selected to the second team offense, along with Pandora-Gilboa’s Ethan Luginbill and USV’s Blaine Castle.

Making the second team defense was Pandora-Gilboa’s Wyatt Russell.

Ridgemont’s Wes McKinley and Ashton Mullins made the third team defense along with LCC’s Matt Cira

Garnering honorable mention honors were Delphos St. John’s Clay Padubny Leipsic’s Hayden Hiegel, Waynefield-Goshen’s Aiden Biederman, Jayden Elliott, and Chase Dunson, Pandora-Gilboa’s Braden Hagemier, LCC’s Tyler Shipman and Delphos Jefferson’s Tanner Vorhees.

VAN WERT — In round one, Van Wert’s Logan Sutton had the high series with a 399. Other Cougar scores Niven Pierce (371), Hayden Davis (338), Trishian Blackmore (335), Christian German (337). For Celina, Marcus Rable had the high series with a 276. Other Bulldog scores were Quintin Posada (374), Ethan Brucke (3240 Nad Timm Novitzke (303). In round two, Van Wert won, 1,800-1,644.

VAN WERT — In round one Celina’s Ameille Abner had the high series with a 361. Other Bulldog series were Chablis Krick (347), Marissa Hole (332) and Piper Gilliand 320. For Van Wert Ryleight Hanca had a 367. Other Cough ar scores were (Merade Hammond (323), Makeen Nagel (300) and REgan Horina (245). In round two, Van Wert won 794-252.
