Ava Schaaf had two goals and Abby Rakay had a single tally off an assist by Karlie Wallace, Shawnee’s Chloe Nance made six save while Bath counterpart Kyla Bailey had eight.

Bri Douglass had three goals, Clara Beach had a pair of tallies and Delaney Duling contributed a single goal. Delaney Duling and Mackenzie Recker each had an assist and Elli McCrate got the shutout in goal.

LIMA — Lauren Schulte had the match’s only goal with Audra Hovest providing the assist. Kassidy Hipsher made three saves for the shutout in goal while Lima Central Catholic counterpart Anna Wannemacher made 18.

ELIDA — Kenton’s Emily Pees and Abi Temple and Elida’s JoJo Knight each had a goal. Kenton’s Gabi Wetherill contributed an assist.

NEW KNOXVILLE — The Roughriders won 25-15, 25-13, 25-13. Bryann Clark had 11 kills and five aces, Halle Huston had 10 kills, Ashlie Nuss had 11 digs, Lily Rammel had seven digs and 24 assists and Syerra Greber had five aces for St. Marys.

Brynn Egbert had five kills and three aces. Keianna Wellman had four kills and three blocks and Nathalie Kaup and Addi Albers each had eight digs for New Knoxville.

BLUFFTON — The Indians won 25-18, 25-12, 25-12.

Ayla Grandey had five kills and three blocks, Kendall Stackhouse had four kills, Gracie Yarnell had six assists and 10 digs, Avery Talavinia had 17 digs and Olivia Siferd had three blocks for Bluffton.

The Bulldogs fell 25-16, 25-23, 29-27.

Amelia Lutz had 11 kills, including the 500th of her career, Ava Knapke had six kills, Payton Bertke had 27 assists and Brooklyn Bourne had 22 digs for Celina.

COLDWATER — The Cavaliers won 25-17, 23-25, 25-12, 23-25, 15-10. Jenna Leugers had 15 kills, 18 assists, 16 digs and four aces, Spencer Etzler had 23 kills, 13 digs and three aces, Kendra Clune had six blocks, Madison Wendel had 13 kills and 13 digs and Mia Knapke had 28 assists for Coldwater.

Laci McCoy had 15 kills, Myia Etzler had 11 kills, Cali Gregory had 10 kills, 24 assists, four blocks and 15 digs, Elle Kline had 22 digs and Haley McCoy had four blocks for Crestview.

The Wildcats won 25-15, 25-11, 25-11. Morgan Lyons had 10 kills and Sadie Larabee had nine kills for Kenton.

NWC tri match

Leipsic (173) had the low round among the Northwest Conference members Columbus Grove (201) and Ada (245).

Medalist Brevin Brandt (37), Luke Spoors (45) and Adam Lammers (45) led the way for Leipsic. Nick Schroeder and Blane Schroeder each shot 46 also for the Vikings. Columbus Grove’s Taylor Schroeder (48) and Ada’s Geddes Klinger (48) had the low rounds for their respective schools.

Tri match

Co-medalist Evan Miller (42), Dane Ebel (44) and Aiden Hardesty (44) led the way as Lincolnview (175) had the low team total against LCC (187) and Antwerp (197). Grant Glossett and Luke Bollenbacher each posted 45s also for the Lancers. Parker Judy led LCC with a 42.

Tri match

Co-medalists Thomas Weis and Andrews Weis (40 each), Will Otto (41) and Jesse Lammers (43) combined for Miller City’s winning total 0f 164 against Ottawa-Glandorf (178) and Wayne Trace (181) at par 36 Moose Landing. Justin Yaeger led O-G with a 41.

Medalist Katie Heitkamp (43), Ashley Meyer (44), Ashlyn Homan (46) and Star Weigandt (47) combined for the Wildcats’ winning total.

Coldwater 202, Parkway 216

Medalist Jordan Hemmelgarn (43), Natalie Ashbaugh (48), Kennedy Voskuhl (53) and Alyssa Steinke (58) combined for the winning team total at the par 36 Mercer County Elks. Shay Boroff led Parkway with a 50.

Cross country

Wayne Trace Invitational

Van Wert (33) won the boys title as Drew Laudick (second), Rylan Miller (fourth), Owen Scott (sixth) and John Kramer (eight0) led the way with top 10 finishes. Ottoville’s Wyatt German finished 10th. Delphos St. John’s (127) finished fourth among the six posting team scores. Tinora’s Jaxen Durfey (17 minutes, 10 seconds) was the race winner.

Wayne Trace (52) won the girls title with Van Wert (62), St. John’s (69) and Ottoville (69) finishing third through fifth respectively. Ottoville’s Hannah Wenzlick (fourth) and Carli Martz (10th), Van Wert’s Tyra McClain (fifth) and DSJ’s Brezlynn Rohr (sixth) and Olivia Bockey (eighth) all finished in the top 10 behind race winner Kiara Bahena (21:39) from Wayne Trace.

Racers’ Echevarria

LIMA — The University of Northwestern Ohio’s Tomas Echevarria has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference’s Offensive Player of the Week.

Echevarria helped boost the Racers against two nationally ranked opponents to open the season. Against #5 Oklahoma Wesleyan, Echevarria bagged the Racers’ lone goal to give UNOH a tie. He followed up with two more against #14 Lindsey Wilson, including the game winner, as the Racers knocked off the Blue Raiders 3-1.

UNOH’s Thomas

gets recognized

UNOH’s Logan Thomas has been named the WHAC Attacker of the Week .

Thomas had a historical week, setting a new program record with 33 points versus Union at the Racer Rumble on Friday. Her 27 kills in the same match ties the second most all-time to go along with six service aces, part of 25 team service aces that set a new program record. Thomas followed up with 29.5 points against Kentucky Christian which ties for the fourth most all-time. She finished with 26 kills in the match which ties for fifth best in program history. On day two of the Racer Rumble, she added 29 more kills and hit a career high .409 against Miami-Middletown.
