LIMA — The Lima Senior defeated Toledo Whitmer 4-1 in a Three Rivers Athletic Conference boys tennis match Tuesday at the Collett Street Courts.

Singles players Jayden Weltmer and Sam Sherrick and the doubles teams of Donavin Lavan and Bobby Baker and Connor Brayton and Domolo Olleye all won for the Spartans.

Wapakoneta 4, Elida 1

ELIDA — Singles players Emerson Hager and Alex Stinebaugh and the doubles teams of Riley Werling and Bryce Schlenker and Ben Schroer and Andrew Gibson all won for Wapak. Sebastian Kunkleman won for Elida.

Ottawa-Glandorf 5, Celina 0

OTTAWA — Singles players Jordan Verhoff, Evan Barrett and Jeff Kaufman and the doubles teams of Craig Recker and Kevin Recker and Zach Balbaugh and Nick Weirauch won for O-G.

Defiance 4, Bath 1

BATH TOWNSHIP — The doubles team of Colin Walker and Caden Schmidt won for Bath.

VAN WERT — Singles players Brandon Amstutz, Nick Etter and Ryan Keber and the doubles teams of Davis Munroe and Gabe Rollins and Michael Etter and Spencer Teman all won matches.

ST. MARYS — Singles players Bobby Miller, Riley Niekamp and Cameron Dingledine and the doubles teams of Jacob Grannan and Josh Wingett and Bo Kuenning and CJ Vanderhorst all won matches.

Bath 3, Defiance 2

BATH TOWNSHIP — After Defiance forced the game into extra innings with two runs in the top of the seventh, the host Wildkittens got the Western Buckeye League victory with a run in the bottom of the eighth. Abby Cosart got the victory on the mound and teammate Megan Boedicker had three hits and two RBI. Alex Roob also had two hits for Bath (5-7, 2-2 WBL). Defiance fell to 9-1 overall and 3-1 in the league.

Shawnee 7, Van Wert 3

VAN WERT — Winning pitcher Alyssa Windau (8-1) threw seven innings, striking out 12. Chloe Wohlgamuth had three hits and Jamie Fullom had two hits also for the visiting Indians (10-1, 3-1 WBL). Brooke Brown had two hits for Van Wert (6-3, 2-2 WBL).

Minster 10, LCC 8

LIMA — Taylor Homan had four hits for Minster. Abby Tabler had two hits for Lima Central Catholic.

Spencerville 22, Kalida 11

SPENCERVILLE — Destiny Price had two doubles and a triple and Maddy Kline doubled for Spencerville. Dana Kneuve and Jaylen Vandemark each doubled for Kalida.

Celina 17, Ottawa-Glandorf 3

GLANDORF — Callie Vogel had four hits and an RBI, Maria Donovan had three hits and five RBI and Carly Post homered for Celina.

Bluffton 2, Allen East 1

BLUFFTON — Taylor Monday, who had two hits and an RBI, knocked in Averey Rumer with the winning run in the bottom of the eighth. Alexis Wireman had two hits for Allen East.

Defiance 2, Bath 1

DEFIANCE — The host Bulldogs scored twice in the bottom of the sixth after the Wildcats scored once in the top of the inning. Defiance pitcher Shay Smiddy (5-0) allowed no hits or earned runs and three walks while striking out four in seven innnings. Bath’s Andrew Renner pitched six innings, allowing five hits, one earned run and four walks while striking out three.

Wapak 2, Elida 0

WAPAKONETA — Winning pitcher Manny Vorhees pitched seven innings, allowing two hits and no walks while striking out five. He also had three hits and two RBI. Noah Adcock had two hits for Elida.

Van Wert 11, Shawnee 6

SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — Justice Tussing had two hits and an RBI and Nick Gutierrez had two hits for the visiting Cougars. Jacob Sevitz had tow hits for Shawnee.

Kalida 6, LCC 2

KALIDA — Trent Gerding had two hits and two RBI for Kalida. Anthony Venturella had two hits for LCC.

Columbus Grove 6

FORT JENNINGS — Brandon Wehri had three doubles and three RBI and Sam Vetter had two hits and three RBI for the host Musketeers. Jake Untendorf had two hits and an RBI for Columbus Grove.

CELINA — Kole Murlin had two hits and three RBI for Celina. Jordan Diemer had two hits for O-G.

ELIDA — Blasia Moyler doubled, homered and had six RBI for the visiting Redskins. Winning pitcher Megan Fisher threw six innings, giving up three hits and no walks while striking out 11. Katelynn Sumption doubled and had an RBI for Elida.

Crestview pitcher Colby Clifton will be signing to play for Bluffton University at 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, in the board room at Crestview High School.

Colby was a member of the state final four baseball teams in 2013 and 2014.

Bath dual

BATH — Shawnee won all four relay races. Elyse Kelley won the 100 and 200 dashes and DeAsis Smith won the shot put and discus also for the Indians. No team scores were reported.

Celina 95, Elida 42

ELIDA — Celina won all four relays. Holli Brackman won the 100 and 200 dashes and Lauren Jackson won the 800 and 1,600 also for Celina.

Bluffton tri meet

BLUFFTON — Bluffton won the team title with 68.33 points followed by Upper Scioto Valley (64.33) and Waynesfield-Goshen (39.33). Alyssa Casemier won the 200 and long jump also for the host Pirates. Megan Carey won the 100 and 300 hurdles for USV.

O-G quad

OTTAWA — Wapakoneta won the team title with 92 points followed by Van Wert 78, Ottawa-Glandorf (63) and Kenton (22).

Megan Braun won the 100 and 200 dashes and Sidney Sutton won the 400 and pole vault for Shawnee. Katie Trittschuh won the shot put and discus for Van Wert.

Lincolnview tri

VAN WERT — Lincolnview won the team title with 60 points followed by Delphos Jefferson (59) and Crestview (47). Rylee Byrne won the 800 and 1,600 for Lincolnview. Jenna Dunlap won the 100 and 300 hurdles for Delphos Jefferson.

Bath dual

BATH TOWNSHIP — Jabrill Williams won the 110 and 300 hurdles, Christian Ford won the 100 and 200 dashes, Jalen Bagley won the long and high jumps and Jon Wahlie won the 1,600 and 3,200 for Shawnee. No team scores were reported.

Elida 69, Celina 68

ELIDA — Elida got a victory from the 1,600 relay team of Gaerid Littler, Brian Upshaw, Baylen Stinson and Sam Quaintance to pull out the victory. Celina’s Jacob Rasawehr won the discus and shot put.

Bluffton tri meet

BLUFFTON — The host Pirates won the team title with 68.33 points followed by Upper Scioto Valley (64.33) and Waynesfield-Goshen (39.33). Trevor Bassitt won the 110 and 300 hurdles and Blake Sampson won the discus and shot put for Bluffton.

O-G quad meet

OTTAWA — Van Wert won the team title with 105.5 points followed by Wapakoneta (72), Kenton (42.5) and Ottawa-Glandorf (36). Austin Buroker won the 110 and 300 hurdles and Kaleb Morgan won the discus and shot put for Kenton.

Lincolnview tri meet

VAN WERT — Delphos Jefferson had 76.5 points followed by Lincolnview (74) and Crestview (24.5). Hunter Blankemeyer won the the 110 hurdles and high jump and Karter Tow won the 1,600 and 3,200 for Lincolnview

Bluffton 10, Defiance 7

BLUFFTON — Jason Colliver and Tommy Nobile had two hits and an RBI each for Bluffton.

Each team had a member of the 2012 Lima Central Catholic team that fell 1-0 to Wheelersburg in the Division III state championship game. Bluffon pitcher Travis Clark got his fifth save of the season by allowing no runs, hits or walks while striking out one in the bottom of the ninth. Defiance College’s Nick Watkins did not play.
