Wapakoneta moved up one spot to No. 3 in the this week’s state Division III football poll.
The Associated Press’ state high school football poll was released on Monday. A panel of sports media from around the state votes each week on the poll.
The Redskins are 6-0 on the year.
St. Marys (5-1), which suffered its first loss of the year Friday against Bath, fell from No. 10 to 13th this week in Division III.
Lima Senior is 5-1 after a win over Toledo St. Francis Friday, but remained out of the Division II poll. The Spartans may be able to climb back in the poll with a win Friday at Findlay (5-1).
Defending state champion Coldwater (6-0) remains No. 1 in the state in Division V. Coldwater received all 22 first-place votes.
In Division VI, defending state champion Marion Local (6-0) remains No. 1 in the state. Marion Local received 20 of the 22 first-place votes.
In a true battle of champions, Marion Local is at Coldwater this Friday.
Also in Division VI, Spencerville (6-0) fell back from No. 3 to No. 4 this week.
In Division VII, Fort Recovery (6-0) fell from No. 3 to No. 4.
Defending state champion Minster (4-2) held its spot at No. 7. Minster’s two losses have come to Coldwater and Marion Local.
Ada is No. 14 in Division VII.
