Allen East gets soccer win over Lima Senior

Jade Meyer scored two goals and Leah Casey had a goal and three assists to lead Allen East to a 6-2 girls soccer win over Lima Senior on Monday.

Madison Houston, Sofia Silone and Cassidy McKeever also scored goals for the Mustangs. Tajah Upshaw and Ashiana Sigman scored for Lima Senior.


Ottoville 2, Van Wert 1

Jared Fanning scored both goals for the Big Green (2-0). Brandon Hernandez scored for the Cougars in their season opener.


Wapakoneta 5, Elida 0

Wapakoneta remained unbeaten (5-0, 3-0 Western Buckeye League) by sweeping Elida without losing a set.

Defiance 3, Bath 2

Defiance got a win at first singles and took both doubles matches.

St. Marys 3, Kenton 2

St. Marys improved to 5-1 overall and 2-1 in the WBL

Lincolnview’s Joshah Rager had the low round of the day with a 39 and Lincolnview’s top five players turned in sub-50 rounds, including a 42 by Reece Farmer.

Bluffton’s Aaron Belcher and Paulding’s Ethan Dom1nique also shot 42.

Ian Hasting and Keaton McKinley shot 41 and Colin Rambin and Jake Shivley shot 45 for the Indians. Jared Hernandez’s 45 led Van Wert.

St. Henry 176, Coldwater 197

Rylee Deitsch shot 43 to lead the Redskins. Kyle Naumann and Seth King shot 44 and Jack Romer had a 45.

Kenton 174, St. Marys 192

Britton Hensel’s 37 led the Wildcats and Anthony McKee shot a 43.

Temple Christian 170, Lehman Catholic 173

The Pioneers’ Seth Hohlbein had the low round of the day with a 37. Judah Whitman shot a 43.

Wayne Trace 182, Ottoville 190

Ottoville’s Brandon Schnipke was the match medalist with a 41.

Fort Recovery 166, New Knoxville 219

Hunter McMurray led New Knoxville with a 43.


Ada 25-25-25, North Baltimore 20-15-21

Carlee Marshall had 10 kills for Ada (3-0). Melina Woods had nine digs and six blocks and Morgan Sutton had 17 assists.
