My wife sent me to Meijer to get a couple of cantaloupes because they were two for $5 and some romaine lettuce. I just happened to get behind a lady and her teenage daughter who had a cart full of groceries.

When I got up to the checkout and was going to pay my bill, the cashier told me that the lady in front of me paid for my groceries. She was a lady of color and did not know me. I’m sure her bill was close to $100 or more, yet she paid my bill to a complete stranger, not even knowing how much my bill was going to be.

Even though my bill was less than $10, it was her act of kindness that made an impression on me. She was out the door before I could get to thank her.

When I got to my car, she was putting her cart back, and I got a chance to thank her personally. Her comment to me was when God tells you to do something, you just do it. I’m sure her act of kindness won’t go unnoticed by God.

I pray that her whole family will be richly blessed. I don’t know her name, but God does, and may she richly blessed. If we all showed that kindness to others, we would not have the problems that we’re having today.
