This letter is for people who don’t believe that corporate price gouging and fixing are the major cause of the inflation we are seeing.
I visited the “big box” home improvement store for some cabbage plants for my garden. Each plant was priced at $4.98. Keep in mind that each plant produces one head of cabbage that would sell for about $2.50 in the grocery store.
A few days later, I went to a local retailer and found a container of 3 plants for $1.99. It doesn’t take a math wizard to figure out who is padding their profits at the expense of their customers.
