Christmas evening, I was backing out of a driveway on West Hume Road. It was so dark that I misjudged the length of the drive and backed into the ditch. I was stuck there with my flashers on.
I didn’t want to call any members of my family or a tow truck driver and take them away from their families on Christmas. So I sat there counting on someone to stop and help. There wasn’t much traffic, being Christmas night.
About half a dozen cars drove by slowly but didn’t stop. Eventually, a woman in a white minivan stopped and said she would find soemone. Shortly after that, a truck pulled up to help, and a man and his wife had me out in no time.
It’ just shows there are still great people out there.
