Letter: Won’t forget friendly Lima

While traveling south on Nov. 8th we experienced a tire problem. After pulling to the side of the road, a gentleman pulled over and helped us.

We are 83 years old and had called roadside assistance.

The gentleman who stopped to help us was named Gary, unfortunately we did not get his last name. He not only changed our tire, but led us to several stations to get air. In total, he spent at least 2 hours with us. He would not accept any payment of any kind.

We feel your community needs to know what fantastic residents you have. Gary was driving a pickup truck. The left back light needed fixing. He and his partner worked at Whirlpool.

We would like the people of Lima to know how proud they should be of one of their residents.
