Letter: 300 reasons to back Cridersville levy

As the principal of Cridersville Elementary School, I write to you to express my undeniable support for the Cridersville Police Levy to be voted on by residents on May 4th. I have been asked several times why I support this half of one percent (0.5%) levy, and my answer has remained consistent with over 300 reasons. These reasons are between the ages of 3 and 10.

Without a local law enforcement officer available, the quickest response from any officer would be over 12 minutes away from either Wapakoneta City Police officers or the Auglaize County Sheriff’s office. I know the students of Cridersville Elementary are not my personal biological children, but I want to protect them, care for them and keep them safe from outside harm like they are my own.

This is why I ask the community members of Cridersville to help me in supporting and voting YES on May 4th to approve the Cridersville Police Levy.
