Letter: Stratton’s intolerable viewpoint

Don Stratton, in “Their View” (9/11/20), voices a disdainful view of the people he was paid to serve while in the Lima Police Department. Such an opinion would have been seen as ignorant and intolerable within my office of parole officers while I was serving as one in Toledo.

It is more than unfortunate that his attitude seems to be harbored by the few badged “bad apples” who protect themselves from being culled from the force by police unions and political hacks, such as the present occupant of the White House exhibiting the “selfishness and narcissism” which Stratton otherwise expressly decries.
