Letter: Someone, please define ‘greatly’

In the editorial column of April 23rd, it is stated that “while we will never know how bad the pandemic could have become, it is clear serious COVID-19 illnesses and deaths have been greatly reduced.”

Given your emphatic opinion, I would ask you the following: How many illnesses and deaths were reduced? What number can you assign to “greatly”?

Once again no mention of the deprivation of liberty and freedom and certainly no mention of harm. All you can carp about in the absence of accurate statistics.
