I was driving along Bluelick Road the other day and saw several little elves standing outside the Bluelick General store waving and shouting Merry Christmas.
My curiosity got the best of me so I stopped to see what was going on. I asked the elves why they were there and was told that Santa was inside. As I entered the store there was this line of little ones fidgeting, and then I heard it, a very jolly “Ho, Ho, Ho.”
As I peaked around the corner I saw him. There was Santa with a twinkle in his eyes. It gave me pause to think that with all that is going on around the world, that here is this small business giving their time to make sure that the children get to meet Santa Claus.
I for one say thank you to the Bluelick General store for giving back to the community, also a thank you Mr. and Mrs. Claus and the elves and helpers.
