Letter: Seems we’re always paying

Are the Allen County Commissioners for the people or for some business?

I ask because it seems we are paying $10 more on our license tags, $10 more on gas and then we give a business a 95-percent tax abatement for 10 years. We the people pay for all of this. To me, it’s time for the commissioners to be out of office.

This new plant will be in either Shawnee or Perry township so the schools and fire dept will loose part of that 95 percent tax abatement for 10 years. Shawnee is talking about a new school. It will happen in those 10 years. So the taxpayers will be paying more on that school. Remember that when they are up for reelection.
