President Trump abandoned his controversial bid to demand citizenship details from all respondents in next year’s census recently. He’s directing federal agencies to try to compile the information using existing databases.
I don’t see where he has the right to do this without our permission. He insisted he’s not backing down. The Supreme Court has blocked his efforts to include the question. They have already begun the expensive and lengthy process of printing the census questionnaire without it.
I don’t think he has the right to do this without our permission. He would be signing an executive order directing agencies to turn over records to the Department of Commerce.
Executive order or not, he just doesn’t think things through. He seesaws back and forth, changing his mind. He doesn’t think of all the work involved with agencies having to change everything. I think he enjoys all the commotion he causes.
