Letter: Grateful for police, fire departments and good companies

I have the pleasure of working at Lima Towers as a social worker and am blessed to provide services to over 200 people living here.

Because it is busy and the residents have many needs, we are very involved with the Lima fire and police departments. As a way to recognize all of the hard work and attention they pay to us, we had an event on May 17 to show our appreciation for all they do for us. The community also became very involved by stepping up to donate food and door prizes for the first responders.

A big thank you goes out to the following businesses: Lee’s Chicken, Pepsi, United Health Care, Husky Refinery, Chief’s, Fat Jack’s Pizza, Elmcroft Assisted Living, Daryl and Daryl’s, Olive Garden, Rigali’s, Westgate, Razor’s Edge, Pizza Hut, Black Lace Hair Salon, Lima Manor, YMCA, Cecil’s Grill, Lima Manor and Sara’s Sweets.

Please consider going to these businesses and supporting them. Their kindness was very much appreciated. There are still good people in the world, and this is a good example of that.
