As someone who has been everywhere in the United States during more than 30 years of trucking, I can tell you this: Every time there is a natural disaster like a flood or a hurricane, it rips a scab off our country and exposes how many poor people we have living in the United States.
People were asked why they didn’t evacuate ahead of the hurricane? They would answer this is all I have. I have no car or money for food or motels. Nothing! And they rode it out.
We can’t take on Central America’s problems. We have enough of our own.
We don’t need anymore poor people flooding across the border.
