Everyone keeps talking about the need to “drain the swamp,” but that can’t happen until there are term limits for every elected official. And that won’t happen because Congress won’t allow it.
The founding fathers never intended there to be “career politicians.” To serve your country was a priviledge … you did your time then returned to your life. Now, even if you serve only one term… you get your salary for life!
What incentive does Congress have to change that?
The best solution would for the President to issue an executive order.
Then perhaps, we can start to drain that swamp!
