This past week I attended a funeral at Chiles-Laman Eastside Chapel. As the funeral procession was leaving the funeral home, I noticed the workers across the street had stopped working until the funeral procession had all passed by. I know that there is no law that cars have to stop for a funeral procession and there was several cars that did not stop.
These workers showed me that there are still people that show respect to people they didn’t even know. The same holds true with the many drivers who stopped on the way to the cemetery. For some reason the workers really got to me that day! Maybe the fact that they were all young. Thanks to the workers and drivers that showed their respect that day!
