Letter: Staircase near reservoirs in need of maintenance

Recently, I walked out Reservoir Road intending to fish in the reservoirs. I planned to fish off the levee between Ferguson and Metzger Reservoirs and then continue to the staircase on the south side of Ferguson and descend to Harding Highway.

When I reached the staircase, I found it to be severely overgrown with small trees and poison ivy growing up between the plates in the treads. This made it difficult to descend the stairway. Also, at least one of the treads had broken plates.

This needs to be corrected before someone falls and is injured.
