Letter: Learn to enjoy all those family moments

As I walked around the lake recently, I was caught in an inspiration that I sometimes wonder is fading away in America and perhaps the world.

I saw thousands of people, with families gathered together for picnics and playing games together. Families sat around each other talking. Children played in the beach, running and chasing each other with joy. Families camped. People that are strangers shared stories, families cooking out, and then after a long day together, sitting in awe of the long awaited fireworks.

This is the American heritage that we need in America today more often. I was so heartwarmed to see this. It seems we are so busy with life that I wonder if just perhaps we had this more often, this whole world would be a better place. It was a beautiful day in so many ways!
