Letter: Jefferson Award winner helps pregnant women

I want to congratulate and thank The Lima News for a wonderful article on pro-life Jefferson Award winner Joyce Buss. She is one who walks the walk and talks the talk for unborn children and their mothers, the poor, the dying and those in need. What a powerhouse of a lady!

She and her organization truly let these people know they are never alone.

She especially lets expectant mothers know this. These are troubled women who don’t know where to turn, and she’s there with her people both before and after the birth of their babies. I’m sure these women are lost without the parenting classes and items offered.

Heartbeat of Lima is always gathering food, clothes, baby items, toiletries and monetary donations to help in these places. I’m sure she puts them to immediate use. (You can’t do something of this magnitude without connections.)

The ultrasounds seem to be the clincher. Many organizations raise money for ultrasounds to donate to clinics like Joyce’s. Praise God she has one. Very effective in changing the minds of women who want to take their child’s life. Many scream “it’s my body,” but they should have thought of the life they would create before that physical moment. (Or do they swing the focus so they don’t have to face the fact that they’re committing murder?)

And about “adoption the loving option,” the women who cannot take care of their child, there are so many couples who yearn for a child. They would want to give them a beautiful home. You would have the joy of knowing the happiness you would give parents and child.
