Letter: Spread the word that Fox can’t be trusted

It is now fully documented. During the 2020 elections and their aftermath, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham, Tucker Carlson and other Fox commentators knew and said off the air that the evidence for a rigged and stolen election was false and ridiculous. They mocked Trump’s legal team looking into election fraud, election machine tampering and Jewish laser beams changing the election outcomes.

Yet they lied to the Fox public, thus helping to sow political polarization, conspiracy thinking, the ongoing chances for political violence and the undermining of confidence in American elections.

Fox should be labeled for what it is, a marketing scheme for the gullible, the uninformed and the resentful. Fox is not a news network; it is a propaganda corporation to make money by sowing discord, distortion and demonization.

CNN makes occasional errors but corrects them. CNN may have liberal voices, but they criticize Democrats daily on immigration, the economy, inflation and the silence of the Biden Administration on some important topics dealing with national security and the continuing infrastructure breakdown with airlines and railways.

Fox is a propaganda voice for conservatives and a way to make money by lying in order to tell millions of Americans what they want to hear. If you know people who get their information from Fox, please point out the facts. Tell them that their favorite news commentators are self-admitted liars and actually mere entertainers for people too lazy to check out other sources or so cynical they approve of lies in order to win elections.

The irony is that these conservatives think they are oh-so patriotic, yet they are destroying the very foundations of American democracy.
