Letter: Energy decisions for me, not for thee

After a recent trip to Casa Grande, Arizona, it was alarming to see acres and acres of farmland being plowed up not for solar but for housing and business development. I did see a few solar panels on house roofs and a high school that had solar panels in its parking lot, which provided shade for the parked cars.

The Midwest is the only area that has the capability to raise crops without using up natural resources such as water because we usually get timely rains. The price of cropland has really skyrocketed recently, which will make it hard for our future farmers to buy farmland and continue farming in Ohio and other Midwest states which will further drive up the cost of food.

On Feb. 22 during a Biden visit to Warsaw, Poland, an AP report headline read, “Poland to develop 1st nuclear power plant with Westinghouse.” Poland is using American technology, meanwhile the U.S. is using windmills and solar panels made in China.

Our futures as envisioned by the United Nations, European Union, World Economic Forum and the Council on Foreign Relation elites have planned for us to eat weeds, bugs, algae and bacteria, but no worries — it will look, smell, taste and feel like real meat, so the green elitists tell us.

Do you think their menu will include the above fare on their yachts, jets, penthouses and palatial estates? Or will they continue to serve the five-star cuisine to which they are accustomed and believe they are entitled too?
