Letter: Figley should show us his solutions to problems

I see Mark Figley is at it again with the “Don’t sell our land to China” column in Sept. 21’s newspaper. He sounds just like Charles Lindbergh and the America Firsters prior to World War II. Alarmists’ mentality about America being sold down the river, this time by China!

What are you going to do about it, Mark? You have all the issues and none of the answers. Why not run for public office instead of wring your hands about all the problems?

Your articles never cease to amaze me, with all the talk about what is wrong with society but never giving us a clue as to how we might improve the situation. You are long on complaints and short on solutions!

I would like to remind Figley that we have 300-plus million population in the United States, and China has a billion three hundred million people. Maybe it is best we don’t mess with the Chinese, or on the other hand you might write a sequel to this tirade giving us all the answers to the problems for a change.
