Letter: Feeling grateful about being on vets banner

I would like to thank my family for sponsoring a veterans’ banner in my honor. My banner is just one of many that decorate the streets in the towns and villages of Putnam County.

Fortunately for me, my service in the Army National Guard was during peacetime. It is an honor for me to be pictured among the veterans of Korea, Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan. It is extremely humbling to be pictured among the veterans of World War II, the greatest generation!
