Put away the doubts.
The Rhodes State College downtown project is happening as promised.
Work on the college’s $24 million Center for Health Science Education & Innovation is underway in downtown Lima with large equipment now preparing the ground. Last week, Spieker Construction, out of the Toledo area, started erecting a fence around the Town Square property.
An official groundbreaking was set for March 26 but is indefinitely postponed due to the “no congregating” orders issued due to the coronavirus. Still, actual construction should begin in the coming weeks.
That’s good news for Lima.
