Another book has come out about how fortunate America was to survive the Donald Trump presidency, books written not by some casual observer or some deranged lunatic trying to find their sanity.
These are books written by his niece, his former Secretary of Defense, chief of staff for Homeland Security, his own personal attorney, a former counter-intelligence officer, National Security advisor, a former FBI Director, deputy director of the FBI, a former press secretary and a former assistant to the President.
Books were also authored by a long list of journalists, including Bob Woodward, Bob Costa, Jonathan Martin, Alexander Burns, Jonathan Karl, Deborah Birx, Phillip Rucker, Carol Leonnig and finally the Washington Post.
Each of those books detailed the corruptness, dysfunctional and self-serving attitude of the 45th President of the United States representing a party that now attacks scientists, school teachers and doctors as well. He even inspired people to attack their own government.
We have all heard the tapes of Republicans, in the privacy of their own inner circles, talk about the unfitness of 45, but while in the eye of the public, their arguments are abandoned in favor of a more positive message because of the fear of the Republican electorate, an electorate that has been played like Boney James on a saxophone.
That fear exists because they fear you, most readers of this newspaper. You have made them choose disloyalty to this country in favor of power at all costs.
All those above-mentioned writers and journalists know 45 better than you and I ever will. Some studied him; some worked with him 24/7 for years, such as his personal attorney.
Michael Cohen warned America about Donald Trump several years ago, long before any of these books were written.
Yes, it is true that Donald J Trump is not the president of the United States. He lost the last election, and, yes, it is true that he remains at the forefront of my mind because he has led a once-proud, needed and functional organization in the Republican Party into the ash heap of American history if people continue to blindly follow this self-serving con-man.
For the sake of America, I hope Republicans can return to who they used to be, before they were led away from dignity.
