Like daily news reports from our southern border with Mexico, the number of migrant children just keep coming; overwhelming Joe Biden’s ability to hold them.
According to Department of Health and Human Services documents, in the final week of February, the Border Patrol referred an average of 321 children a day to HHS custody. This was an increase from 203 per day in January, and just 47 per day in the first week of 2021.
Migrant shelters are over full capacity, yet Biden and his minions continue to deny that a border crisis exists. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is one of the most demented deniers, calling the border a “challenge we’re managing.”
In the upside-down world of identity politics, Joe Biden and Democrats believe that migrant children grow up to be Democrat voters. It matters not what border chaos is created in the meantime, even as alien arrests reached their highest number in a decade with more than 75,000 detained through February. Then there are the untold numbers being bussed into the interior of the United States, and thousands more who have come across the border avoiding detection; including scattered numbers of confirmed terrorists. And spring weather will bring many more entrants trying to beat summer’s extreme heat on the way to a stimulus check.
Meanwhile, the criticism that Biden and his apologists lodged against Donald Trump for separating migrant familes and locking up children in cages (a policy conceived and practiced under Obama/Biden) has disappeared even as Joe’s regime actively uses plastic cages and more civilized cargo shipping containers.
His expert social planners have also made common again such terms as “catch and release.” And while all construction on the border wall has ceased, human smugglers assess fees of $2,500 to $9,500 (and more) a head; even as cartels control entire sectors of the border and engage in regular gun battles. Worst of all, these events have been largely spurred on by a White House occupant who beckoned people to come, then told them to wait until later.
So what is Biden’s end-game? Why, amnesty of course. Legislation has already been introduced to grant an eight-year path to citizenship for the estimated 10- to 20-million illegals who arrived in the U.S. prior to Jan. 1, 2021, under the fraud referred to as “immigration reform.” An exception would be granted for migrant farm workers or those who arrived here as children. Joe’s plan would also remove the prohibition on illegal immigrants who have previously been deported for violating immigration laws and supports chain migration. Naturally, there is no mention of border security or protection for American workers.
Lastly, while millions of Americans have been denied many basic freedoms during the past year in the fight against a pandemic, unverified numbers of migrants have entered the U.S. as active carriers of the coronavirus, endangering the health and safety of the dedicated Border Patrol. Overwhelmed and under-appreciated, is it any wonder then that some 5,000 of these officers are soon expected to retire? Then there is the kicker: Biden has no intention of filling these vacancies. In the meantime, reports of positive migrant coronavirus cases continue to mount.
As one who lives and breathes the virus, how is it that Joe so freely places U.S. citizens he swore an oath to protect at risk from aliens with seemingly endless artificially-created rights? Questions such as this will certainly never be asked by a complicit, starry-eyed media much more interested in the president’s pets and favorite flavor of milkshake.
Between taking naps and flying around to sell his fake $1.9 trillion covid-relief package, Biden has also made VP Kamala Harris his point person on the border mess. A true leader, seeing such a crisis unfold, would put country over party and tackle the issue himself, yet Biden refuses to even consider going to the border. Truly, he is a man without a clue. As Rod Serlin might say, “We’ve just crossed over into the twilight zone.”
