Letter: Teen shouldn’t face prison in man’s death

I completely agree with the excellent letter published last Sunday written by Janis Sunderhaus. I hope many of you read this letter.

Ms. Fuqua, a young girl of 19, faces a possible sentence of five years (an involuntary manslaughter charge) for providing Dino Gerdeman with drugs he used.

Janis states that this was a 59-year-old man about town who very well knew the risk of drugs.

Surely one of our fair-minded fine attorneys in Lima will review this case. A month at WORTH Center, community service or no sentence would be fair.

It matters not whether the young girl was black or white. This is unjust.
