Letter: Problem more than few bad apples

As a white guy soon to be 67, I was appalled by the murder of George Floyd in Minneapolis.

After repeated viewings of the video, I really don’t think you can call it anything else. I’ve personally feel that this problem with law enforcement runs a lot deeper than a few bad apples. I think it is an ingrained mentally with many of the police departments around the country.

I just thought I would write to show my support for the protests (although the riots/destruction should not be tolerated), but I have also seen already where the police have responded with excessive force to a peaceful protest. No one should be killed because of the color of their skin.
