Get ready, Lima. There’s a new sheriff in town at the Allen County Museum, and she’s taking names and blocking people on Facebook, dismissing long-time employees as well as volunteers and gutting the collection to make way for art displays.
After exposing her shenanigans on another Facebook page, Christine Fowler Shearer took it upon herself to remove posts from me and a number of others who politely questioned the new direction on the museum’s page. Then they proceeded to block us from commenting further. She has now denied us total access to their public Facebook page at all.
Board members are refusing to answer questions from the public as well. Visit the museum soon. Ask questions, and say goodbye to the conestoga wagon.
It’s a sad day for history indeed!
