Letter: You can help, by crikey!

Australia has been suffering terribly from wildfires. Thus, many species of animals, many of which are endangered, have lost much of their habitat. Some have been severely injured or even killed. This is a significant, given Australia is the continent with the highest extinction rate for mammals.

You can help these animals recover from these fires by donating to zoos which support conservation efforts for many animals around the world, including Australia. There are also many foundations that actively help Australia’s wildlife, including the World Wildlife Fund, the Australian Conservation Foundation, and Australia Zoo’s Wildlife Warriors Worldwide, founded by the late Steve Irwin.

These organizations reclaim habitats for animals and rescue injured animals. By supporting these efforts, then, by crikey, you can help Australia’s wildlife recover from these fires!
