ONU boosts STEM recruitment with Choose Ohio First grants

ADA — Ohio Northern University has received $2.6 million in Choose Ohio First funding to support STEM student recruitment and retention, which will focus on increasing enrollment in biomedical sciences, civil engineering, medical laboratory science, nursing, pharmacy and other STEM fields experiencing a skilled workforce shortage.

The university plans to enroll 40 students in the Choose Ohio First program each year. Those students would receive $3,000 in COF scholarships that will be matched by the university.
