Food program offered at Lima schools

LIMA — The Lima City Schools Department of Food Services will sponsor a COVID-19 Food Program for children enrolled in the online program at the Lima City Schools.

The program starts Oct. 1 and runs through Dec. 22 for a total of 53 days. Meals will be distributed on Wednesdays only. There will be no meals served on Saturdays or Sundays. These breakfasts and lunches are for children only, 1 to 18 years of age.

Breakfast and lunch meals for five days per child will be distributed on each Wednesday and can be picked up at the following school sites at the times listed:

•Lima Senior High, 1 Spartan Way: Meal Pick-up Time: 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., 419-996-3530

•Independence Elementary, 616 Tremont Ave.: Meal Pick-up Time: 9 to 10 a.m., 419-996-3363

•Heritage Elementary, 816 College Ave.: Meal Pick-up Time: 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., 419-996-3683

•Unity Elementary, 925 East Third St.: Meal Pick-up Time: 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., 419-996-3305

•Freedom Elementary, 575 South Calumet Ave.: Meal Pick-up Time: 9 to 10 a.m., 419-996-3546

•North Middle School, 1135 N. West St.: Meal Pick-up Time: 2 to 3 p.m., 419-996-3269
