ADA — Three Ohio Northern University College of Engineering alumni played important roles in the successful NASA launch of the SpaceX Dragon spacecraft.
Derick Endicott, a 2012 graduate, is a senior test development engineer for SpaceX who ensures that their components can withstand the rigors of spaceflight.
Alex Strimbu, who graduated in 2017, is a SpaceX test development engineer who works on the Merlin engine —the propulsion system for the Falcon 9 booster.
NASA’s Justin Littell, a 2004 graduate, conducted research in the areas of structural dynamics to ensure astronaut safety during splashdown of the Dragon capsule.
In all, more than 30 Polar Bears currently work in the aerospace industry.
