Ohio Northern students win honors at robotics competition


ADA — Ohio Northern University students earned multiple honors at the Association for Technology, Management and Applied Engineering’s 2019 Robotics Competition recently in Charlotte, N.C.

ONU’s robotics team received first place in the categories of safety, innovation and fabrication; first place in Judge’s Choice and second place overall with all categories of the contest.

Eleven teams from universities across the country participated in the competition. The team included manufacturing technology majors Dakota Pier, Samuel Pencil, Karsyn McGinn, Kiana Curtiss and construction management major Jordon Bailey.
