Article by ONU faculty member explores anxiety

ADA — An article by Ohio Northern University Associate Professor of English Douglas Dowland appears in the latest issue of “Pedagogy: Critical Approaches to Teaching Literature, Language, Composition, and Culture.”

The article, “Anxiety Can Bring Us Together,” traces the history of the word “anxiety” and explores its implications in student and faculty life. The article concludes by encouraging faculty to consider anxiety as an energy that can be productively harnessed through the construction of a more emotionally aware pedagogy.
