COLUMBUS — Roman Sandhu, who was involved with Allen County Children Services for three years, was honored with the Rising Up and Moving On Award by the Public Children Services Association of Ohio. He was one of five students to receive the award this year.
The award recognizes young adults in Ohio who have persevered through some incredible challenges in life to not only survive but to thrive.
Sandhu is a student at the University of Findlay majoring in psychology. He is also treasurer of the Ohio Youth Advisory Board, a position that’s taken him to Washington, D.C. where he had a chance to meet with leaders to provide a voice for children in foster care.
