LIMA — Lima Senior High School Intervention Specialist Jill Radler is in Washington D.C., on Wednesday through Friday to lobby for people with disabilities as a member of a state committee.
During her time in the nation’s capital, Radler and other members of the Ohio Developmental Disabilities Council plan to meet with members of Congress to advocate for those with developmental disabilities, encourage programs that enrich their lives and educate lawmakers about disability rights.
“I feel very blessed to be on this council,” Radler said in a press release. “My son is on the autism spectrum, and I am a teacher in the self-contained classroom. So, this is my passion in life. It has changed my life and given me many opportunities I might not have had.”
