COLUMBUS — Nine Lima Senior High School students will be in Columbus Wednesday, May 15, for Arts Day and the Governor’s Awards Luncheon.
The day is put on by the Ohio Citizens for the Arts Foundation and is a chance for students to talk to state legislators about the importance of the arts in education.
Students meet with their local legislators to address why the arts are important to them, how it has helped them academically and how the arts will help them be successful in their future careers.
The Lima Senior students are all involved in a variety of music, drama and art at school. They are Emalea Collins, Alexandria Enberg, Emily Fronzaglia, Seth Jones, Richard Lee, Anthony Lutz, Noah Phillips, Molly Sheets and Ryan Utendorf.
