Bluffton University students learning about other cultures

BLUFFTON — Several local students from Bluffton University spent some time away from campus on cross-cultural experiences.

Rose Hayes, Nicholas Tafflinger and Joseph Watkins, of Lima, are participating in projects in Kentucky during the month of May.

Brianna Wicker, of Columbus Grove, is learning more about Chicago.

Brianna Keeler, of Bluffton, is doing her project in Israel and Palestine.

Bailie Barrington, of Waynefiel, is traveling to Bolivia for her cross-cultural experience.

This experience will fulfill Bluffton’s undergraduate cross-cultural requirement that must be completed before graduation. Students can either complete a cross-cultural experience or take six credit hours in one foreign language.
