DSJ High School students experience mock crash

DELPHOS — On Friday, the Delphos St. John’s SADD/FTA students held a Mock Car Crash to educate students about the consequences of teen drinking, texting and driving crashes.

Students in the SADD group, along with their peers, presented a “real life” situation of a one-vehicle accident crashing into a fixed object. Rescuers from the Delphos Fire and Rescue maintained the scene along with the Delphos Police Department who responded to the call.

Along with the mock car crash, students were presented four 15-minute breakout sessions. They were able to listen to the personal impact of drunk driving from Todd and Jaime Elwer.
