BLUFFTON — An exhibit titled “Phantoms of Film” will open Oct. 29 and continue through Dec. 6 at the Grace Albrecht Gallery, Sauder Visual Arts Center, Bluffton University. A reception will be from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11.
The oil paintings explore contemporary myths and how we are being asked to understand the monsters instead of fear them.
Hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. weekends.

“Phantoms of Film” series to be on display at Bluffton University
BLUFFTON, Ohio—Bluffton University’s Grace Albrecht Gallery will host “Phantoms of Film” by Whitney Goller.
“Phantoms of Film” is a series of oil paintings exploring contemporary American myths. The phantoms to which the show’s title refers are our contemporary monsters. Except, something interesting has happened: we no longer are called to fear the monsters, we are asked instead to understand them.
Opening Oct. 29, the exhibit is free and open to the public through Dec. 6
Gallery hours in the Sauder Visual Arts Center are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays and 1-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays.
A reception for the artist will be held from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11.
