Lima Senior students place in DECA competition

LIMA — Fifty-six Lima Senior High School students in DECA participated in a district 3 competition Oct. 2, and 36 brought home trophies, many of which were first place.

Tiara Spivey placed first in parliamentary law.

Cora Bicknell placed second in public relations, and Xylon Payne Greeno placed third in public relations.

Jada Salsburey and Shaianne Zimmerman-Pessos placed third in the team management decision making blue division. Cole Mericle and Brayden Odell placed first in the white division in team management decision.

In the individual series events, Adrian Bowsher placed second in the blue division; while Quinn Gable, Darian Slaise, Bryce Binkley and Kylee Mell placed first in the gold, silver, white and bronze divisions, respectively.

In the job interview competition, Ta’lor Washington placed first in the blue division. Lauren Zell placed third in the gold division; Dalonte’ Manley placed first in the silver division; Ryan Moore placed third in the white division. Tavion McLaurine placed first, and Jenna Wentling placed second in the bronze division.
