NASHVILLE — Tabitha Howell, of Van Wert, began school at Belmont University in Nashville fall semester amid the largest class the university has ever had.
According to a press release, the university had 8,318 students arrived on campus to begin the fall semester, almost triple the enrollment in 2000. Those numbers show the school has had a 65 percent increase in attendance numbers in the last decade.
According to the release, freshman admission applications increased by 5.3 percent for the 2018 fall semester. The freshman class is the largest in University history with 1,634 students attending.
