LIMA — Thirty-five Allen County high school students are a part of the Allen Lima Youth Leadership class of 2019.
The 24th class’s orientation will be Friday at Fassett Farms. The leadership program provides youth with hands-on traning that educates them about their community and teaches them leadership and personal values exploration.
“Young people are concerned about big issues: drug and alchohol abuse, school and community violence, bullying. This program gives them tools to address those kinds of things and helps prepare them for leadership roles as they grow into adulthood,” said Allen Lima Leadership Executive Director Matt Childers.
